Question:
I’ve been finding it very difficult to get married. What can I read and is there any advice mulana can give with regards to this
Jazakillah
Answer:
As salām ʿalaikum wa raḥmatullāhī wa barakātuhu
In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Allāh Taʿālā has preordained the events in a one’s life. Your time of marriage has also been preordained; therefore, you should not become despondent even though you have been finding it very difficult to get married. You should put your trust and hope in Allah Taʿālā. You will meet the match that Allāh Taʿālā has written for you.
You should also adopt all permissible means and seek counsel from appropriate people in searching for a suitable husband for yourself.
Perform two Rakaʿāt of Ṣalāh al-Ḥājah and implore Allāh Taʿālā to bless you with a good and pious husband. Remember, Duʿā is the weapon of a believer.
Engage in abundant Istighfār throughout the day and night. Allow your tongue to be moist with the constant recitation of Istighfār. Rasūlullāh صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
من لزم الاستغفار جعل الله له من كل ضيق مخرجا، ومن كل هم فرجا، ورزقه من حيث لا يحتسب
Translation: If anyone constantly engages in Istighfār, Allāh will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not.
May Allāh Taʿālā bless you with the most compatible partner who is a means of happiness for you in this world and the hereafter.
And Allāh Taʿālā knows best.
